Visit from Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad JPDC has received a visit from Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad, together with Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (KWAP) and Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP) at our Pusat Informasi Setempat Pengerang (PISP), Taman Bayu Damai on 24 September. The visit aimed to better understand JPDC’s roles together with the development of Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex (PIPC), as well as its contribution towards the local downstream oil and gas industry. “We are glad to be able to help them with the visit…hope this visit may help them to understand JPDC and the downstream oil and gas industry in PIPC better,” said Encik Rahim Ahad from Investor Management Department, JPDC.

JPDC has received a visit from the Chief Statistician Malaysia, YBhg. Dato' Sri Dr. Mohd Uzir Mahidin at Pusat Informasi Setempat Pengerang (PISP) on 24 September, 2019. Led by Department of Statistic Malaysia (DOSM) Johor, the visit aimed to have better understanding on the development of Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex (PIPC) and its surrounding areas. DOSM conducts direct survey to solicit information from manufacturing sector to strengthen data collected. The information includes detailing of activities, production data, capacity, utilization and manpower. Chief Statistician mentioned that “PIPC due to its mega sized project can be a case study. This can later become a reference point…data should be a ‘second language’ because of its importance and should be used for key decision making, a practice which many developed countries takes.” “…support and acknowledgement from DOSM is key to ensure priority funding for PIPC future is obtained, lest risking the opportunity to seize investment potential…there is also the need for petrochemical specific trade balance data which would be analysed to assist targeting marketing and investor attraction,” said Encik Mustafa Akbar Reza, Head of Planning and Development, JPDC. “I’m optimistic, the strong synergy and confidence shown by JPDC top management to DOSM especially DOSM Johor can have an impact on sustainable development of Johor,” said Encik Wan Mohd Shahrulnizam Wan Mohd Najuri, Director of Department of Statistics Malaysia, Johor.

Majlis Penyerahan Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat Sungai Rengit (Kategori B) dan Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat Sebana Cove (Kategori C) oleh Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) Pasukan Projek Khas PIPC kepada Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia, telah berlangsung pada 3 September, 2019. "Sebelum ini, kawasan ini direspons oleh Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat (BBP) Bandar Penawar di mana jarak untuk ke Pengerang adalah 45 kilometer… (dengan) Adanya tambahan dua lagi BBP termasuk di Punggai menjadikan tiga; ia akan membantu bomba untuk memendekkan masa ke tempat kecemasan sama ada di kawasan perindustrian di Pengerang dan kawasan sekitar," kata Datuk Yahaya Madis, Pengarah Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Negeri Johor (sumber: Sinar Harian) “Dengan penyerahan dua balai bomba, ini membuktikan komitmen kerajaan dalam menyedia dan menyokong pertumbuhan industri minyak dan gas di Pengerang juga bagi manfaat masyakat setempat. Diharapkan kemudahan ini dapat beroperasi secara optimum seiring dengan perancangan JPDC dalam pembangunan Kompleks Petroleum Bersepadu Pengerang (PIPC),” kata Encik Azmi Monadi, Ketua Pasukan Pengurusan Program, JPDC. Turut hadir, Setiausaha Pembangunan dan Pelaksanaan Projek di Kementerian Perumahan dan Kerajaan Tempatan, Kamaruzaman Umar. BBP Sungai Rengit, Sebana Cove dan Punggai merupakan 3 projek balai bomba yang dibangunkan oleh JKR Pasukan Projek Khas PIPC bagi kawasan PIPC dan mempunyai masa tindak balas kecemasan (ERT) kurang dari 10 minit.

Pengerang - 24 July 2019, Johor Petroleum Development Corporation Berhad (JPDC) assisted Lembaga Pelabuhan Johor, in organising a working visit by YB Datuk Seri Panglima Madius Tangau, the Deputy Chief Minister of Sabah, who’s also the Minister of Trade and Industry of Sabah. They are here on a working visit to learn more and understand better about the development of Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex (PIPC) and how Sabah can emulate from its accomplishments. The delegates from Sabah were joined by LPJ, Johor State Investment Corporation (JSIC), Ministry of Economic Affairs (MEA), where they were given briefing by PIC, JPDC and Dialog Group Berhad on each presenter’s scope, responsibilities, business and the overall development updates in PIPC. “I’d like to express my deepest appreciation for taking the time to host Datuk Seri Panglima Wilfred Madius Tangau, Deputy Chief Minister Cum Minister of Trade and Industry Sabah working visit to Johor... With your cooperation and assistance, this working visit has been a successful and valuable lesson,” said Encik Rodolfo Blantocas, Senior Assistant Director, Department of Industrial Development and Research, Sabah.
