JPDC has organized Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Preliminary Design Study of a Solids Despatch Facility (SDF Study) for Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex (PIPC) this morning, 29th September 2020 at Renaissance Hotel Johor Bahru. Throughout PIPC Master Plan 2.0, Marine Support Services Plan have been completed on 26th June 2018 and recommend to establish a Solids Despatch Facility (SDF) to provide the in-bound and out-bound logistic facility to support solids and containerized goods which was not found in PIPC. Hence, JPDC has appointed KASI (M) Sdn Bhd to implement 29 weeks of study “The Provision of Consultancy Services” to conduct Preliminary Design Study of a Solids Despatch Facility (SDF Study) in order to Support Downstream Oil & Gas Industry in PIPC. The study expected to complete by December 2020. The objective of this initiative is to have an engagement session with relevant authorities, agencies and stakeholders in regards to the proposed SDF project by providing a brief explanation about the project planning and design by gathering feedback and concerns from them.

JPDC received a visit from Negeri Sembilan State Government this morning, 22nd September 2020. The delegation is led by YB Dato’ Dr Mohamad Rafie bin Ab. Malek, Negeri Sembilan State EXCO for Investment, Industries, Entrepreneurship, Education and Human Capital, accompanied by the Chief Executive of NS Corporation, Chief Executive of Negeri Sembilan Investment Centre (NSIC) also officials from the Negeri Sembilan Economic Planning Unit and NS Corporation. The main objective of the visit is to learn more about the development within PIPC.

JPDC has received a visit from Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR) today, a simple briefing was held at Amari Hotel Johor Bahru followed by site tour in the evening. The visit aimed to better understand about the development of Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex (PIPC), as well as its contribution towards the local downstream oil and gas industry.

Sesi Perkongsian Laporan Akhir "Competency Study Towards Developing Cluster of Excellence” telah berlangsung pada hari ini, 27 Ogos 2020 bertempat di National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) Bangi. Kajian dikelolakan bersama oleh JPDC dan Bahagian Pembangunan Modal Insan (BPMI), Unit Perancang Ekonomi, Jabatan Perdana Menteri. Perunding yang dilantik untuk kajian tersebut adalah OPITO Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd (OPITO). OPITO, atau Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organisation, adalah satu badan antarabangsa yang merangka piawaian minyak dan gas yang diguna pakai oleh industri minyak dan gas di seluruh dunia. OPITO telah membangunkan piawaian sejak dari tahun 1991 untuk meningkatkan keselamatan di tempat kerja dan kemahiran yang diperlukan dalam industri minyak dan gas. Tujuan utama pelaksanaan “Competency Study towards Developing Cluster of Excellence” adalah untuk mengenalpasti jurang yang ada di institusi Pendidikan dan Latihan Teknikal dan Vokasional (TVET) yang dikenalpasti berbanding dengan keperluan industri dan piawaian yang diguna pakai oleh industri hiliran minyak dan gas antarabangsa yang merangkumi aspek-aspek berdasarkan piawaian industri seperti: i. Kemudahan dan fasiliti pembelajaran; ii. Kemahiran dan kompetensi tenaga pengajar; iii. Kandungan program yang berkaitan minyak dan gas; dan iv. Peralatan mengajar Kajian tersebut telah siap dilaksanakan dengan mendapat pengesahan dan kelulusan laporan akhir kajian daripada Jawatankuasa Pemandu Kajian pada 1 Julai 2020. Hasil dapatan laporan akan digunakan untuk fasa seterusnya iaitu pembangunan piawaian program latihan teknikal tenaga kerja mahir yang berpandukan piawaian antarabangsa industri hiliran minyak dan gas.
