On 31st July, JPDC has received a visit from Maktab Pertahanan Angkatan Tentera (MPAT) or also known as Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College. The visit was done to fulfil their 1 year course of Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences (Defence Studies) and this is the third time we have received such visit from MPAT since 2016. Attended by ATM Senior Officers, Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, PDRM and Civil Servants, we also have Military Officials from few other countries such as Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Fiji, and Thailand. Aimed to have a clearer idea of Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex (PIPC), this visit will also helps the officers to understand how big PIPC is and what does it encompass.

March 3, 2018 – Johor Bahru A bowling tournament organized by Stakeholder Management of PIC PETRONAS was held at Daiman Bowl, Taman Johor Jaya, Johor Bahru. JPDC was invited to participate in the tournament along with other 36 teams. The aim of this event was to foster closer relationships between agencies and stakeholders who are working together in developing PIPC. A total of 15 agencies participated in the tournament, which included JPDC who was represented by Farhan Mohammad Ab Latif, Mohd Efendi Ahmad and Ahmad Zakree Zakaria for the Men's Category team. Jabatan Imigresen Kota Tinggi won the Men's category with a total points of 1472. They managed to beat 2 other teams who were both from Jabatan Kastam Diraja Malaysia Kota Tinggi with 1447 and 1437 points respectively. Although both teams are from the same agency, they had a neck-to-neck fight with only ten points separating them. JPDC team showed a good fight, competing amongst seasoned players, nonetheless we managed to secure 8th place with an honourable total points of 1,219. “I’m nor a frequent bowler, but it was fun to compete in a tournament like this. I can meet other people from different agencies and polish up my bowling skill. However, we are a little bit overwhelmed as the other agencies sent several teams. We were competing against giants and better players, ” Fendi commented. For the Women’s Category, first and second place went to the 2 teams from Jabatan Kastam Diraja Malaysia Kota Tinggi. They dominated the game throughout the tournament and managed to beat PBT Pengerang and with a total points of 1183 and 1035 respectively. The first and second place winners, received gift cards from PETRONAS worth RM 150, whilst third place, received RM 100 and consolation prizes worth RM 50, for those who participated. Encik Mohd Adnan Harun, Head of Stakeholder Management of PRPC, was there to participate and to give away prizes. Congratulations to all winners!

Majlis Sambutan Tahun Baru Cina Peringkat Parlimen Pengerang 2018 pada 24 February 2018 di Jade Garden Seafood Corner Pengerang

Program Pembangunan Usahawan Kursus Jahitan Lanjutan di Terminal Jahitan Mersing. Seramai 15 orang peserta berjaya menamatkan kursus pembuatan t-shirt yang berlangsung selama 3 hari iaitu pada 5 hingga 7 Februari 2018. Kursus ini telah mendedahkan peserta kepada industri dan memberikan pengalaman secara langsung menggunakan mesin jahit industri dengan bimbingan pakar dalam bidang ini iaitu Mersing Needle.
