A study tour to Pengerang from the Ministry of Finance (MOF) to visit selected projects under the Federal Government. This visit aims to provide greater exposure to the Government Procurement Division (MOF) officers and staff on the implementation and management of physical projects. The tour was led by Ms. Rosanizi Bt. Ahmad, Head of Economic & Industrial Procurement Section and Pn. Suhaila Bt. Alang Mahat, Head of Social Procurement Section. Also involved are Datin Sri Ir Hjh Nor Asiah Othman, JKR Special Project Director of PIPC and Dato 'Ir. Mohd Azmi Ismail, Senior Director of the Management Sector, Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID)

JPDC has organised a formal visit by YBhg. Datuk Seri Ismail Bakar, the Chief Secretary of the Malaysian Government together with the State Government of Johor. This is YBhg. Datuk’s first visit to Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex (PIPC) as the new appointed Chief Secretary. The purpose of the visit is to provide better understanding on the investment and development of PIPC to the Chief Secretary. Apart from that, this is also to allow him having an overall overview on the current development and how this will help the economy of Malaysia. The visit lasted for a few hours where YBhg. Datuk managed to visit Pengerang Deepwater Terminals owned by DIALOG and continued to Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC) by PETRONAS.

Pusat Anak PERMATA Negara (PAPN) Pengerang akan dibuka pada bulan Januari 2019. Sebuah taklimat anjuran bersama Bahagian PERMATA, Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia dan Johor Petroleum Development Corporation Berhad (JPDC) berkenaan pembukaan PAPN Pengerang tersebut telah diadakan pada 28 September, 2018 bertempat di Dewan Taman Bayu Damai. Taklimat yang dihadiri oleh 6o pendudtempat itu telah disampaikan oleh Encik Imrizal Abd Aziz, dari Cawangan Penyelarasan Projek dan Unit Pemantauan PERMATA. Dalam taklimatnya, beliau menerangkan tentang Kurikulum yang diguna pakai PERMATA serta syarat-syarat kelayakan ibu bapa untuk menghantar anak-anak mereka ke PAPN.
