FPSC Meeting
January 23, 2019 - YBhg. Datuk Seri Dr. Ismail Hj. Bakar, Chief Secretary to the Government chaired the first Federal Project Steering Committee (FPSC) 1/2019 this year, with the Secretary General of Ministry of Economic Affairs (MEA), Dato' Saiful Anuar Lebai Hussen hosting the event, and JPDC as FPSC’s Secretariat. The steering committee meeting acts as a forum for decision making on all federal infrastructure and public amenities projects in Pengerang as approved in RMK-10 and RMK-11. Since its inception in 2014, there have been 73 issues highlighted and resolved. "International investors are coming to PIPC, and they are expecting international standards in terms of infrastructure, processing capabilities, and investor friendliness. This platform (FPSC) is an ideal platform as it is important to ensure the infrastructure conforms to the international standards, and is delivered in a timely manner,” Tuan Haji Mohd Yazid Ja’afar, Chief Executive of JPDC. "High priority is given by the Federal Government to FPSC, as it is responsible in ensuring the development and completion of infrastructure and public amenities projects in PIPC. The committee brings together all the ministries, agencies and government departments in one space, to ensure a successful execution of these projects,” said Azmi Monadi, Head of Secretariat, FPSC. JPDC as FPSC’s secretariat would like to welcome, Ketua Pengarah Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran (JPS) Malaysia, Datuk Ir. Dr. Md. Nasir Md. Noh on board, as one of its permanent members.
